Chloé
This season, the Chloé girl came out looking more relaxed than usual, with her luxe-tracksuit and gap-year vibe. It was easy, if was care-free, it was romantic…it was everything it needed to be for the summer. Chloé fans won’t leave the show disappointed though, as some brand classics such as the whimsical dresses were also seen.
Key take-home message: Summer challenge: Reinvent yourself whilst maintaining the essence of you identity.
Lanvin
This collection was a glamorous ensemble, with bold accessories and distinct silhouettes. The prints chosen were striking and quite prominent; ideal for a woman ready to take on the world.. or the runway.
Key take-home message: Be unapologetic, be yourself, and of course…wear fearless accessories
Talbot Runhof
A very classic collection, with all the elements to please a classy woman casually stepping out for some fresh air. It was wearable, comfortable, uncompromising and of course, uncluttered. There was no wow piece, but overall a solid collection
Key take-home message: Try to always look “first-class” and remarkable, even if you’re just stepping out for a quick errand; you never know who you might run into!
Barbara Bui
A collection made for a girl who is always on the go, but always wants to look her best. A bright pink was introduced in a delicate fabric, which really stood out and looked gorgeous. Fringes and metallic nuances were a highlight of the designs.
Key take-home message: Keep wearing fringes next summer!
AF Vandervorst
A peculiar collection with an interesting “motorcyle” apparent theme. A collection that was well put together with interesting concepts introduced such as ruffles and latex trousers. Nevertheless, there is nothing new, these approaches to fabric have been seen before
Key take-home message: White by day, black by night
Balmain
Oh where to start! This was undoubtedly one of my favourite collection. A #BALMAINARMY was created this season, and the only question I have is… where can I enlist? This collection was all it needed to be: fierce, sexy, feminine, romantic, alluring, and breath-taking really. From the tiered ruffles, to the fishnets, to the bib-fronts, it was equal parts wearable and covetable.
Key take-home message: Be a Balmain babe…you’ll never go wrong!
