Dear readers,
❔❔ Did you know that❔❔:
- The Skin is the largest organ in our body?
- The easiest way to tell someone’s age is usually by looking at their skin?
- Every minute, our skin sheds over 30,000 dead cells? 😷
- Vitamins A, D, C, and E are all needed for healthy skin?
My point being that although often taken for granted, our skin is one of the most important elements in our body life. We can change our clothes, our hair, or our nails, but our skin is something that stays with us our whole life; we are born with it, and we die with it.
So suffice it to say….it’s important we look after it.
You know when people say “What’s the first thing you notice in someone?” the usual response is “their eyes” or “their smile”, and while those are two prominent features in people’s faces, I always notice someone’s skin (and hair!!) first. In my eyes, as pretty as someone’s smile might be, and as tall as they are, if their skin is untreated or unkempt, the other (potentially G-O-R-G-E) features just get concealed and don’t shine the way they should!
We all go through that awkward acne-prone skin phase, but once that is overcome (hallelujah) and you more or less know your skin type, it is relatively easy to keep it beautiful and flawless.
A lot of people have been complimenting me on my skin and asking me about my skincare routine, so today I decided to share with you the 9 simple steps I take in order to keep my skin flawless!
Step 1: Eye make-up remover
Whenever I put make-up on, I always make sure I remove eye-make up before washing my face because it tends to be harder to wash out. Right now, I’m using Garnier Express 2in1. I’ve used more expensive brands in the past, but I find this one removes make-up really efficiently due to its biphasic nature, and does not harass my eyes. In addition, it does not leave my eyes greasy, and contains arginine (a protein important for eyelash care).
This is a great post. I’ll have to try the Dior serum. Thanks for the info 🙂

Mine is really simple. Just moisturiser, cleansing water and I also use Black African soap which does wonders for the skin

Great Tips!
I try to include serum and hydrating mask in my regime as I have dry skin. Can’t say the same about the eye cream though!

This is a great post. I definitely need to be giving my skin a bit more attention I am noticing the difference as I get older. I love Dior make up but have never tried their skin care, I think I may have to put a few items on my Christmas list! X

Hi GIACD! I love that you are informing ladies that its important for each step. My favorite step that I pay extra special attention is exfoliation. I find it does the most benefit to my skin. Do you not find Dior too perfumey?

I enjoy a slight scent in my face products so no, not too perfumey for me! Do you think it’s fragrance is too strong?

The day & night regimen that I used was too perfumey for me, but that’s the beauty of skincare, no two preferences are the same.

Aww, serum is all I need. My skin is HYPER sensitive (it even reacts to aloe vera, can you believe it), so I have a particularly hard time shopping beauty products that won’t kill it… and I never found a serum that works. I tried mostly Korean brands though, more than Western brands that may match my skin better. Anything to recommend to start?
Also I never got the ‘courage’ to try an overnight mask, isn’t that unconfortable?

Clinique has a great range of products for sensitive skin, they dont even have a fragrance, to accommodate for that! You could also try a pharmacy brand like Lierac!
This mask is very very light, it feels like a moisturiser so it doesn’t feel sticky or oily or unfconfortable at all!

I’ll check Lierac out, thank you! The mask also sounds appealing!
