NYFW SS16: Fashion Report

Dear readers,

Just as we start to say goodbye to our beloved Summer season, (1 million sad faces!!) Fashion week (month, even) comes along to cheer us up with hundreds of Spring/Summer 2016 collections (1 million happy faces!)

As you may or may not know, this season’s Fashion month was inaugurated in the city that never sleeps, the one and only New York City. Similarly to last season, I payed close attention to the designs presented and gathered my favourite collections from each day, emphasizing my preferred looks and outfits below.

Keep scrolling each page to find out what you should be wearing come Spring!

A very light and airy collection, with a magnificent colour palette.

Key take-home message: Invest in rich, midnight-blue tones and discrete flower patterns.

A cool and confident collection

Key take-home message: Instead of showing too much skin, opt for a garment with an element of sheer to it.

Simple, yet remarkably cool and adequately girly.

Key take-home message: Pair a baggy outfit with a bow and a handbag if you want to look the right amount of sporty and girly. Also, keep investing in those same-level platform shoes

  1. Hi Mimi! I see you take the time to go through every show! Which, by the way, means we can already be friends!!
I like how you wrote litte conclusions as footnotes. Spot on about the tie dye but I’m going to have to pass on the same level platforms!
    With love,
